Ron Paul defeats 5 TV ‘experts’ in 10 minutes

Tags: Politics

I'm not a Republican or Democrat, I'm a concerned citizen. Their are certain characters in our government that stick by their principles and vote accordingly. One politicion that would get my vote is Dr. Ron Paul. Ronnie has talking about our broken montanary policy for years. He has mentioned many times about the feds inflating the money supply and their messing around which will eventully bankrupt the whole country for many years. If we listened to the congressmen we wouldn't be in half the mess we are in now.

I must say Jon Stewart is at his finest. He totally ripped apart John McCain Acceptance Speech.  The comparison between Bush and McCain are hilarious, although the same could be said between Barack and Bush and nearly any other politiction that was making an acceptance speech.  Check out the video.

I’m so Apathetic I’m Flaccid Housing Bill Fiasco

Tags: Politics

I do not support the bail out of Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac. It looks like the bill will pass the Senate. The president who threaten to veto the bill will sign it into law. Lets cut to chase the consumers were stupid enough to buy a home that they couldn't afford thinking that the housing market would continue to apprciate in value and with all the cash that was floating around lenders naturally were going to take advantage. My take is if you can't afford the house don't buy it! I'm so apathetic, I'm totally flaccid! Let’s see what's really going on with the housing bill. ·         This is a band aid being put on a stab wound! ·         More money will be printed to cover peoples stupidity ·         The government is saying hey Fanny May & Freddy Mac go and take all the risk you want the tax payers will bail you out ·         300 billion dollars over the past year has been spent already bailing out the industry ·         Treasury bills are exchanged for Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac securities what a smart move, what’s backing our dollar now? ·         In the 600 page bill all credit transaction will be reported to the ...

Why Am I Not Suprised - Obama Button

Tags: Politics, Race

At the Texan Republican convention there was booth hosted by the Republicanmarket that was selling an assortment of items. One of the buttons said “If Obama is President… will we still call it The White House? There has been a lot of talk about this, a lot of people were offended. Do you find this button offensive? Personally, I’m am not surprised by this or overly offended. Where there is differences between people there will be distrust, and fear. We see this in every level in society. Look this country is still quite divided, instead of open debate. Issues of race are kept under the radar. It’s sad that there are numerous amounts of people who would not like to see a black president. Its sad to see that their are people that will put color, or a persons sex above, qualifications. I say where the button! At least I know where you are coming from. On the other hand this is blatant. A Marietta bar owner was selling T-Shirts that had a picture of curious George holding a banana and in large copy it said Obama in 08. There was a poll on Croooksandlairs, the results was 41% were not offended by ...

The Secret Is Out Bush

Tags: Politics

The headline yesterday morning in the UK's "The Independent: "Bush wants 50 military bases, control of Iraqi airspace and legal immunity for all American soldiers and contractors. A secret deal being negotiated in Baghdad would perpetuate the American military occupation of Iraq indefinitely, regardless of the outcome of the US presidential election in November. This is a terrible idea, I really hope this does not come to pass. Read the full article.

Obama Wins - Does he have the right C’s?

Tags: Commentary, Politics

Obama wins nomination what a great day! This is the first time a brother received the ticket to lead a majority party. I am proud that he made it. You could say its a sign of progress maybe... For me though how he stands on issues is considerably more important than race. Prime example is Condoleezza Rice. Her accomplishments are admiral and I respect that immensely. My main beef with her is. Look at who she works for and supports. Was she able to avert the wars that we are currently in, or encourage it? Has she been able to create good will and broker peace across the world? No on all accounts! Where was she on Martin Luther King's birthday, on January 15th 2003, when George Bush declared the University of Michigan law school's affirmative action program unconstitutional? Where was her outcry? Please give me a break, she does not represent me. I like Obama, he believes in change. Hope won out over fear. New won out over old. If you look at his record he was able to cross the other side and get things done. We sorely need it at this time. We sorely need a good leader. According to Lee Iacocca's book, ...

Broken Dream - Problems With Illegal Immigration

Tags: Commentary, Politics

Procrastination will be my downfall. I missed the 7:06AM train and opted to take a quick power nap in a little shady corner because the public parking area was full and to be honest I was too lazy to park on the other side of the block. I was walking on the north bound side of the station where an US border control officer was questioning an individual woman of Chinese decent. I know that there is an increased presence, but seeing that image right in my back yard is an uncomfortable feeling. Once I got to the other side I saw that the officer had handcuffed a Mexican man. I asked the guy standing next to me why he was handcuffed? He said that he didn't have any form of identification, so the officer took him away. I was able to snap a Picture. What bothers me is this. There are over 12 million undocumented workers who mostly just want to survive and live the dream like so many generations before us, and because they are flying under the radar they are getting abused, in many cases treated less than a human, and discriminated against. Sounds quite familiar? The whole illegal immigration ...
